Sample Retainer Agreement
This page summarizes the standard structure of the retainer agreement you'll receive before we open your file. The binding version is the written retainer you sign — this page is informational only and does not create a consultant–client relationship.
Parties and scope
The retainer identifies the Regulated Canadian Immigration Consultant (RCIC), Infinite Immigration Canada, and you as the client. It defines the precise scope of work — for example, "Express Entry profile creation and PR application to COPR" — so nothing is assumed.
Professional fees and disbursements
Fees are quoted in Canadian dollars and shown as fixed-fee or hourly. The retainer lists government fees, medical exams, biometrics, translations, and courier costs separately, and clarifies who pays each.
Payment schedule and trust
Funds received in advance are held in a dedicated trust account, per CICC requirements, and drawn only as work is completed and invoiced.
Client responsibilities
You commit to providing complete, accurate documentation on the timelines we agree. Misrepresentation to IRCC is a serious offence — the retainer makes our shared responsibility explicit.
Termination and refunds
Either party may end the retainer in writing. Unearned fees are refunded from trust within a defined window. The CICC's Retainer Agreement rules govern all termination terms.
Complaints
The retainer names the CICC complaints procedure and links to our complaints page. You always have the right to bring concerns to the College directly.
